Qualification Details:

  • Name of post: – Agriculture Engineer, in the Gujarat Agriculture Service, Class-II

  • Educational Qualification & Experience: Possess,-
  • A candidate shall possess,
  • a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering/ a bachelor’s degree of Technology(Agriculture engineering) obtained from any of the Agriculture Universities established or incorporated by or under the central Agriculture Universities Act or State Agriculture Universities Act in India; or
  • a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
  • Possess (a) (i) a diploma in Agriculture Engineering obtained from any of the Agriculture Universities established or incorporated by or under the central Agriculture Universities Act or State Agriculture Universities Act in India; or
  • a diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and
  • Have about 2 years experience on the post not below the rank of Mechanic, Class III in the subordinate service of the Agriculture Department;
  • have about 2 years experience in the field of agriculture academic/agriculture research/ agriculture extension service/agriculture machinery maintenance/agriculture engineering in the Government/Local bodies/ Government Undertaking Board/ Corporation/ Agriculture University/ research institute approved by Indian Council of Agriculture research/ Limited Company established under the Companies act, 2013 on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Mechanic, Class III in the subordinate service of the Agriculture Department.
  • Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and
  • Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
