Qualification

The applicant should be an Engineering graduate preferably in Mechanical/ Marine/ Electrical or Naval Architecture with good academic record from a recognized University/lnstitution. Post Graduation qualifications in aforementioned/related disciplines will have an added advantage.

Age Limit

Age of superannuation 60 years. Internal: Minimum – 40 years, Maximum – 2 years residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation, Others: Minimum – 40 years, Maximum – 3 years residual service as on the date of vacancy w.r.t. the date of superannuation.

Experience Requirements

The applicant should have at least five years’ experience during the last ten years at a senior level in an organization of repute in Marine/ Electrical Engineering or Naval Architecture or Production/Planning / Control in a large scale integrated production unit dealing with turnkey heavy fabrication projects, of which at least two years should have been in Ship Building/ Ship repairs activity.

Job Responsibilities

Director (Shipbuilding) is a member of Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman & Managing Director. Apart from being a member of the top management group advising CMD and the Board of Directors generally on all issues, he would be specifically responsible to hold complete charge of the Shipbuilding Division including personnel and financial management related thereto; development of design as per customers’ requirements, estimation, submission of tenders and finalization of contracts; as well as interaction with the customers on their existing and future requirements etc.
