Qualification Details:

Engagement of Technician Apprentice under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973 for the year 2021-2022

1. Post Name: Technician Apprentice

2. Vacancies: Mechanical/Production Engineering – 49, Electrical & Electronics Engineering /Electrical & Instrumentation – 8, Electronics & Communication Engineering – 5, Computer Science/lnformation Technology – 02, Civil – 06.

3. Minimum Educational Qualification: Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the concerned discipline for which applied, recognised by Board of Apprenticeship training (BOAT). Candidates who have passed their degree, only in the last three years i.e. 2018, 2019 or 2020 are only eligible to apply. Sandwich courses are not eligible as per BOAT guidelines.

5. Previous Training: Candidates who have already undergone or currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any other establishment under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 are not eligible to apply.
Registration in Government of India portal: Candidates with BOAT registration number alone will be considered for the training. The applicants have to register themselves in BOAT Portal www.mhrdnats.gov.in and mention their registration number in the application.

6. Duration of training. The duration of Apprenticeship Training Period of training will be for a period of one year as per Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.

7. Stipend payable. Rs 8000 per month (Consolidated) will be paid as stipend in the entire training duration.

Age:

Between 18 and -27 years as on 10/04/2021. A relaxation of 5 years is admissible to SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates in the upper age-limit. In the case of physically Challenged persons, a relaxation of 10 years is admissible in the upper age-limit.

Selection Procedure :

Selections will be made from a merit list prepared based on the aggregate marks secured in final/semester examinations conducted in the qualifying examination. Depending upon requirement, suitable number of shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification which will be held at HRDC, BHEL, Trichy. Date & Time for certificate verification will be intimated to all shortlisted candidates in their registered E-Mail IDs.
Shortlisted candidates based on marks secured in the examinations conducted for the prescribed qualification and community reservation guidelines will be intimated by E-mail / SMS for appearing for certificate verification at HRDC, BHEL, Trichy as per their turn in the schedule. The candidate must have an active email ID and mobile phone number which must remain valid for at least next one year.

The candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria may first register in Ministry of Education/GOl portal – www.mhrdnats.gov.in and note down their 16 digits long unique apprenticeship registration number. This 16- digit apprenticeship registration number is mandatorily required for submitting online application in BHEL portal.
