4. Qualification & Experience:

i. Ph.D. Degree in the Special Education or Education with research emphasis on Special Education (Specific Disability Area).

ii. A Master’s Degree in any discipline and M. Ed. Special Education (Mental Retardation (Intellectual Disability)/Rehabilitation and Multiple Disabilities) each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade of B+ in 10- point scale of UGC). OR An equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI.

iii. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching experience in B.Ed. Special Education (Specific Disability Area) and M. Ed. Special Education (Specific Disability Area) Programmes, out of which at least 3 years at Master level and/or experience in research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in relevant area.

iv. Valid registration with RCI u/s 19 of RCI Act 1992 is essential. v. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students in special education (Specific Disability Area). vi. A minimum score as stipulated in UGC Regulation, 2018
