4. Qualification & Experience:

i. An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the Special Education or Education with research emphasis on Special Education and published work of high quality in relevant area actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in relevant area.

ii. A Master’s Degree in any discipline and M. Ed. Special Education (Visual Impairment/ Hearing Impairment/ Mental Retardation (Intellectual Disability)/Rehabilitation and Multiple Disabilities) each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade of B+ in 10- point scale of UGC). OR An equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI.

iii. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in B.Ed. Special Education (Specific Disability Area) and M. Ed. Special Education (Specific Disability Area) Programmes, out of which at least 5 years at Master’s level in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level in special education (Specific Disability Area).

iv. Valid registration with RCI u/s 19 of RCI Act 1992 is essential. v. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process. vi. A minimum score as stipulated in UGC Regulation, 2018
